Dennis Simmons

Dennis Simmons is a Nyoongar Man who has been involved in teaching culture and educating youth in the community for 30 years. Dennis has worked providing mentoring to Aboriginal employees as well as providing cultural awareness training for numerous organisations. Dennis currently delivers Aboriginal Mental Heath First Aid training in remote locations throughout the country and also works with Dardi Munwurrow, a community organisation that works with Men to bring about behaviour change and prevent violence, while acknowledging and healing trauma.
Dennis has been involved as Chairperson for the City of Wanneroo Reconciliation Action Plan Committee and in 2017 he represented Nyoongar people at the Uluru Statement from the Heart attended by over 300 Aboriginal Peoples from all over Australia. In 2017 Dennis graduated as the first Nyoongar man to obtain a Psychology degree. Dennis is also involved with Natural Resource Management and the protection of Sacred Sites.

Della Rae Morrison

Della Rae Morison is a Bibbulmun woman of the Nyoongar Nation from South West of Western Australia, with 30 years’ experience in the arts in Australia. Della first started with Jimmy Chi’s Aboriginal Musical Bran Nue Dae in 1989 and has never looked back. Della currently music directs and manages her singing group Moombaki Ensemble and has been the Music Director for the Madjitil Moorna Choir for 11 years. Della is also currently recording an album with her group the Moombaki Ensemble and looks forward to launching their CD next year to introduce the world to their beautiful unique sound. She is also happy to have recently graduated for her Cert IV Diploma in Holistic Counselling and Mind Body Medicine at the Academy of Living Essences of Australia and learning about the healing properties of the wild flowers of the South West of Western Australia. Her past accolades include the following: –

Doyne Radcliff

Doyen Radcliffe is a Yamatji Naaguja Wadjarri man from the Midwest Region of Western Australia. Doyen is a community minded individual with a passion for empowering Indigenous communities to reach their real potential to improve quality of life, health, social and economic wellbeing and inclusion within Australian society.
Presently Doyen works as a Regional Manager with the Indigenous Community Volunteers (ICV) based in Perth, WA and was former Regional Manager for the Darwin office. Doyen oversees community developments activities in WA and is working towards to delivering global best practice community development works with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
Doyen is currently the Vice President of Australian Evaluation Society. The purpose of his appointment is to strengthen and build Indigenous and non-indigenous capacity in culturally safe evaluation theory, practice and use.

Salena Abdullah

Salena is a Nyoongar Yamatji Yorga (Woman) and a talented Aboriginal Artist. As a young Nyoongar Yamitiji Woman she is keen to get involved in the work of building a better future for her people.
